This will be the wall that disguises the side wall of the drive bay area. It is actually 3 layers - a bottom backing layer, a mid layer that is transparent orange UV acrylic, and a top piece of aluminium that was painted black to layer over the acrylic.
Mounted in the back of the acrylic layer is a UV meteor light that is firing thru the acrylic. It ends up lighting the edge of the wall that faces the back of the case. It is yet another one of those details that most will not see until they look all over the case or have it pointed out. But I like it!
After I knew the paint on the side panels had dried, I lined them up end to end and applied the BOSS striping. They needed to line up perfectly, so this step was very necessary. Applying vinyl is a very tricky process, as you try to keep the bubbles out from under the vinyl, and the adhesive side is very sticky. I would have hated to have to correct the vinyl during the application of this. Pulling up the vinyl off of a paint job that is not fully cured would have been disasterous. I had to make the application perfect, the first time. And I did.
The end was nigh!
